Suzanne Keegan

Kids Yoga Teacher, Therapeutic Yoga for Kids with Special Needs

Yoga found Suzanne at a time when she needed it the most. A stressed mum of three kids with a busy work schedule – sound familiar?  How to fit in exercise, time to yourself and relaxation in one go didn’t seem possible, until she started yoga practice. Suzanne loved it so much, she became determined that her children, one of which has Downs Syndrome, should benefit also.

Suzanne trained and qualified under Melissa Curtis and Lisa Wilkinson at the Elbow Room in Dublin to teach children’s yoga with accreditation for teaching therapeutic yoga to children with additional needs.

Suzanne is passionate that yoga enriches all other therapies the child might be receiving (physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech & language) in a fun filled, confidence building way. She brings her own personal experience of having a child with special needs to her therapeutic yoga classes and has attended Lámh and Hanen courses.

A certified accountant and a career in IT up to the day she set foot into her first yoga class; Suzanne has said that yoga literally changed her life, and that of her kids.
